Owning nine beauty salons over the decades, Sandra Stockton prides herself in her consistent ability to provide fashion-forward hair designs by utilizing and retailing world-class Italian products typically only accessible in upscale, large-scale city salons in the USA and across the globe . Frequently, the film industry, while shooting in New Mexico, turns to Sandra for her excellence and depth of knowledge of hair artistry. Sandra works ardently to ensure that all members of our community have access to the latest international, tailored techniques that only she can bring to her clientele due to her career-long, prestigious studies with the greatest haircutting, coloring, instructors and inventors in the fashion capital of the world – Milan, Italy. Although she attributes a large part of her success to international education and years of experience, she holds most invaluable the conjoined instruction of her late husband, Frank Stockton of 37 years, of whom she says taught her to bring out the best in all people.
Sandra explains that “education helps you draw from your deepest creative place. God is the creator in me. We need to always catch a new idea by striving to be more ahead of the game than we think we are: My motto is to keep pursuing knowledge as an industry leader and make every effort to mentor employees and clients. That is how I build my success – by investing in continuing education on a global scale and attempting to share it across the board.” To this end, Sandra regularly conducts educational classes for hair and beauty artists that recognize and appreciate the importance of continuing education in the ever-changing, all encompassing world of fashion.
During her career, Sandra has been the featured international instructor for innumerable hair shows, reaching upwards of 10,000 to 20,000 students. As a result, her expertise leads her to create hair designs that implore cutting and coloring techniques that accentuate a person’s facial structures and complexion tones while considering client’s lifestyles. There is not an age group, gender, fashion style or personality type that Sandra does not welcome into her chair and succeed at helping achieve a complementary, yet, personal fashion statement. Ultimately, Sandra says, “I design as a sculptor of hair and beauty. Face structures, hair types, likes and dislikes, and the ability for the client to recreate at home what I’ve done for them in the salon are all what comes into play: bottom line, I really love making people more beautiful.”
Notably, Sandra has work with various celebrities while filming on set in New Mexico. She was the color artist for Anna Gunn, a recipient of the 2012 Best Supporting Actress Emmy Nomination for her role as Skyler White on “Breaking Bad,” – Albuquerque’s latest and greatest Hollywood claim to fame.
Aside from Sandra’s commitment to her tactical expertise, she upholds customer service as her most valuable skill to deliver results beyond her clientele’s expectations. She wants all clients to realize their intrinsic value and to treat them as she loves to be treated. She practices the Golden Rule that includes listening intently to clients’ personal input; likewise, if a client needs to lean on her expertise, she is there for them 100 percent to offer her educational skills to help clients achieve the greatest results.
Outside of her professional life, Sandra is devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ, her family that includes five children, many grandchildren and extended family. She finds tremendous pleasure in working out at the gym and most people would be surprised to know that Sandra has been an accomplished power weight lifter most of her life! Simply put, Sandra says she walks in the beauty of our world and would not have any other way. Stockton Hair Artists truly is in the industry of “Everything to do with Beauty."
